Style Alert | Tips from a Boston Portrait Photographer

“What Should I Wear?” is a question I hear a lot. Of course, you know the basic rules – you can’t go wrong with solids, something simple – but its always fun to liven things up a bit. Clothing is a big way to inject personality into your portraits. Seeing that I don’t have any children of my own to shop for and I love thinking up cute outfits that would look awesome in portraits, I thought I’d share a few style tips on the blog :)First, let’s start simple. Dressing for one. I am a big fan of textures, layers and color, and this look combines all three – and bonus, once we get moving around and your little one gets warm, we have a layer to take off and create a refreshed look. Pair a simple colorful shirt with a ruffled cardigan, denim skirt and some crazy tights for a bit of fun. Finish off the look with a neutral boot, and a pop of color in the hair and viola – a modern, memorable, and fun look for your little princess! I pulled all these pieces from The Children’s Place fall line – one stop shopping.
