Holly & Tammy | Back Bay Wedding Photographer

The first weekend in October I headed over to the Omni Parker House to photograph the wedding of Holly and Tammy. These ladies flew from North Carolina to celebrate their wedding weekend, and of course, their Carolina Blue was represented on their beautiful bouquets!

Over the summer I had gone with Holly and Tammy to the Public Gardens to scout a spot for the outdoor ceremony they were planning, but because of the rain the decision was made to move the ceremony indoors. Holly and Tammy have such a great sense of humor, and wanted a portrait in front of a painting of the Public Garden that hangs on the wall of the hotel restaurant. A garden wedding portrait ;)

We made our way to a ballroom for an intimate ceremony, where Holly’s cousin performed the ceremony. You could feel the emotion in the room – I was on the verge of tears myself!

Undeterred by the rain, we set off in style (and I got to ride in the limo!) to the Public Gardens for a few quick portraits in the rain. Cheers!

Despite the weather there were quite a few people in the park but I didn’t want my brave brides to have to wait in the rain for too long. When we got up to the bridge there was a sudden clearing and I got this awesome shot of Holly and Tammy walking hand in hand in the rain. Love those umbrellas.

Then it was onto a late brunch at Aquitane in the South End. Holly and Tammy had a cluster of tables in the rear of the restaurant and the celebration began!

I love this one with the mirrors – you can see so many of the guests and the  double reflection of ‘Aquitane’  made the shot.

Holly and Tammy, thank you so much for sharing your special day with me. I feel so blessed. Hope you had a great time on your honeymoon and best wishes!
