Navya & Mike Engaged in Boston

Well, technically they are married now! ;) (for about 6 months so its high time I blog these!) Nav is one of my dearest friends and I was thrilled when she asked me last Fall to shoot their engagement photos! Navya has such an eye for the creative and I knew she would want something special for her images. We collaborated on a ‘vintage picnic’ themed couples session – complete with a picnic basket, brie, peaches, french bread – Navya thought of it all! Living just outside of Boston I’m used to photographing in the manicured Boston Public Garden or along the Harbor Walk for some cool city scenes – but we had a vision with long untamed grass – something that was challenging to find but made for the perfect setting for this unique session – I felt like I was back home in Vermont!

I couldn’t choose just a few favorites so I’m showing a bunch! We started the afternoon out at a small beach by their house, with their adorable dog Bowser in tow.

 

 

 

Isn’t he the cutest! You might remember back when he was a little smaller - now he is a big boy! After a quick walk we dropped Bowser off and headed out for the picnic.

 

They traipsed into the field with their balloons, spread out their picnic wears and we got started!

 

 

 

 

 

 They brought along a bouquet of long stem lavendar roses which Navya put together and we worked them into quite a few of the photos.
