Of course, we got some images of each of them alone, and with Mom & Dad too. Jacob was a little peanut compared to Sophia, and I love this image of him sleeping in Daddy’s hands – Stephanie’s two favorite boys together :)

As always I photographed images in color and in our signature black & white – fun and timeless photographs. I had been waiting for a set of boy girl twins to try out those blue and pink striped hats on – too cute!

During family sessions I love to take candid images of the family just being themselves – walking, snuggling, and laughing. I took Aidan and Gavin one at a time and went on a walk around the bend to get some individual portraits as well. Doesn’t Gavin have the most gorgeous blue eyes?! Julie had told me they were blue on the phone when we talked, but wow- when he grows up he is going to have all the girls crushing on him with those baby blues for sure!

Aidan is a little older at and has such a wonderful sense of humor – he was telling jokes near the end of our session and keeping the family in stitches :)

My favorite images are always of people laughing – those carefree, eyes closed, toothy, belly laughs are the best! Luckily with boys 5 and 8 they had plenty of jokes for me- even if some of them didn’t have a punch line ;)

Navya has amazing style and most of the pieces in the shoot came from her personal collection – her house is like an adorable antique shop! Our shoot is filled with cream, blush and amber tones, mixed metals and warm light – perfect to celebrate an Indian Summer wedding. It was a hot July evening, so the waterfront made for a great spot to cool off.

So many people ask me “what should I wear to my engagement session?” and Bridgette & Jeff did a great job – something dressy but casual and easy to move in – with colors that aren’t matching, but complementary.  Wear something that makes you feel confident and fabulous and you can’t go wrong! I absolutely love the outfits they picked- and those red shoes? adore them.

Bridgette is an architect so a stop by the stunning steps and modern lines of the ICA was in order as we wrapped up our time together.

Bridgette & Jeff- you already know I think you guys rock – can’t wait to show off your wedding images soon! :)

Jack had the best smile – I swear he should be on tv! Of course, having a wife as gorgeous as Jenn and a baby on the way would give him something to smile about ;) I love the casual portraits of them snuggling on the couch.

And, we had to take advantage of the amazing views of the Boston skyline that 30+ stories will get you out on their balcony.

We ended the session with some modern studio portraits in my favorite black & white – I love the look of anticipation and happiness on their faces!

I had mom look through my selection of hats and headbands, such fun for newborn girl sessions, and we picked out some adorable looks for Alexandra. Once the baby was asleep, she was such a champ and slept nearly the entire session. A real treat was the 3 generation picture I was able to capture with Samantha and her mom and little Alex – three beautiful ladies.

Welcome to the world Cullen! I traveled up to New Hampshire to visit him in the hospital the day he was born, and a week later I was able to capture these sweet sleeping images of him at home- though the little guy did make me work for it!

We started out the session with all three brothers- Connor and Gavin were so good with him – making sure to support his head and being gentle. I absolutely love the second image and Connor’s devilish grin ;) The older boys were soon on their way to a playdate, and the newborn photo shoot with Cullen began. If you are planning a newborn session and have other children as well, I suggest starting with the sibling shots and then having someone available to watch the older children in another part of the house or sending them to a friends- the quiet is a nice respite and we can focus on your new little one.

The three brothers together – look at that laughter – makes my heart melt!

His nursery has an animal theme and I borrowed a giraffe stuffed animal from his crib- and they were the same size- aww! Props are a great way to show how truly tiny your baby is in those first few days – although I bring lots of hats, wraps and baskets to my sessions, I love including items that are special or unique to your family to truly personalize your new baby’s images.

I love this one snuggled into Dad’s arms. Rick and Monti wanted to focus on the baby, but I love including parents during infant shoots – even if it is just your hands :) Another way to document how truly tiny those little fingers and toes are!

Thanks for letting me brag on my newest nephew- he is so loved! I saw him this weekend and already he is double the size he was when I shot these- each day brings so many changes and I’m so glad we have these images to remember how tiny he once was!

A little stroll down the beach – the way Mike looks at Kelly makes me melt!

Mike proposed to Kelly on the beach during a trip to Sanibel Island, and they bought matching t-shirts as a souvenir – of course we had to get a few images with those on as well :)

I love this shot- Kelly has the absolute best laugh!

The bling!

Kelly & Mike you were so much fun and such good sports for kicking off your shoes and climbing up on the rocks – I’m excited for the wedding (and some familiar faces) this Fall!

I couldn’t choose just a few favorites so I’m showing a bunch! We started the afternoon out at a small beach by their house, with their adorable dog Bowser in tow.

Isn’t he the cutest! You might remember back when he was a little smaller - now he is a big boy! After a quick walk we dropped Bowser off and headed out for the picnic.

They traipsed into the field with their balloons, spread out their picnic wears and we got started!

 They brought along a bouquet of long stem lavendar roses which Navya put together and we worked them into quite a few of the photos.
